Be a part of something bigger than yourself.
Founded in 1967, we are a band of brothers and sisters, united by our love of off-road racing, Baja, and each other. In true Baja spirit MAG 7 supports our members and partners in every way — no matter the challenge — any time we’re south of the border.
MAG 7 is a tax-exempt 501(c)(7) non-profit organization incorporated in California. The IRS reserves this designation for “social clubs” that are organized for the members’ pleasure, recreation, or other non-profit purposes. That means that when you see a picture of a MAG 7 pit crew in the dust at night in the middle of nowhere and they are smiling, know that they are there for love, not money. All MAG 7 fees pay for equipment, supplies, and expenses — nothing more.
OUR HISTORY
As long as off-roaders have been racing in the Baja desert, the Magnificent 7 Race Support Team has been there to support them.
MAG 7 is named after Hollywood film The Magnificent 7 starring Steve McQueen. The Magnificent 7 captures the spirit of Baja racing. Today, MAG 7 claims about 200 members, approximately 25 of which are qualified pit captains. Many of our members and partners are U.S. military Veterans.
All members are also unpaid volunteers who work as pit crews providing fuel service, spare tires, spare parts, and repairs for off-road racers where they are needed most, no matter the challenge. Baja races are always an exhilarating experience — one that bonds our earned family together and makes us brothers and sisters for life.
JOIN US
When you join MAG 7, you’re joining an over 50 year tradition — a band of brothers and sisters, united by our love of off-road racing, Baja, and each other. Many of us are Veterans. All are volunteers. Together, we hope to provide race support and “people in the pits” for another 50 years!
As a member of MAG 7 you can purchase fuel services, pit services, and additional support services during race events. Only MAG 7 members have access to purchase these services.
Additionally, MAG 7 members can join us as event volunteers delivering fuel, tires, and repairs for off-road racers where they are needed most, no matter the challenge. We’re always looking for new volunteers to join our “earned family.” You do not have to be a Veteran or have any prior experience — we’ll teach you!

Memberships are $50/year. MAG 7 is a 501(c)(7) non-profit. All MAG 7 membership fees pay for equipment, supplies, and expenses — nothing more. Click the button below to get started.
